Manufactured here in the UK, our buddy benches – otherwise known as friendship benches – are a great solution to help children who feel sad upset or in need of a friend and are currently very popular in schools!
What is a Buddy Bench?
A buddy bench is a bench which children should sit on if they ever feel sad, upset, worried or perhaps just a little bit lonely.
How this works in a school is that by sitting on this bench, it would show the teachers and all of the other children that you’re in need of a friend or a ‘buddy’.
Buddy benches are a great way for children to make new friends if they don’t have the confidence, are shy or suffer from social anxiety. It also helps children express their emotions and help other children understand how they are feeling. As well as promoting friendship, buddy benches also help children to understand the feelings of others and teaches/helps them to be kind and caring towards other people.
All of our buddy benches come plain and can be engraved with any names/messages that you like. We’re also able to engrave logo’s and school badges at request. Please contact us if you’re looking to order more than 5 benches or if you require a logo/ school badge.
Our buddy benches come in 2 sizes – small (recommend for pre-school age) and Large (recommended for above pre-school age – junior’s etc.).
Benches are treated prior and post engraving. To protect your bench from weathering, we recommend that you re-varnish your bench at least once a year, to keep it looking as good as new!
